Perched high above Noosa, only a 20-minute scenic drive from Coco Bay Resort sits Mt Tinbeerwah. A 265-metre-high volcanic plug with arguably some of the most spectacular 360-degree views over Noosa and surrounds.

It is an easy 1km return walk from the bitumen carpark and toilets to the fire tower lookout. The track is suitable for wheelchairs and prams to the first lookout point (130m).

As you meander listen to the calls of countless bird species and you may be lucky enough to spot the vulnerable Glossy Black-Cockatoo soaring overhead.

Maroochydore Botanical Gardens

Allow half a day to wander amongst the 82-hectare peaceful gardens and sculptures containing 349 naturally occurring plants, an original open forest and creek-side forest, at the Maroochy Regional Bushland Botanic Garden.

Discover winding pathways and art installations standing amongst manicured native gardens and natural forest. This changing ecosystem provides a habitat for fauna and flora, featuring lagoons, rocky, palm-filled gullies, and the headwaters of Mountain Creek.

Pick up local Noosa cuisine to enjoy a private picnic within the grounds, or dine in at the Maroochy Regional Bushland Botanic Garden Café, open Monday to Friday 9.00am to 2.30pm.

Noosa Botanical Gardens

A short drive to the hinterland town of Cooroy, Noosa Botanical Gardens sits on the foreshore of Lake McDonald. Meander along walkways that wind through eight hectares of native and exotic gardens, home to an abundance of wildlife.

Board the Noosa Ferry at any one of the convenient ‘hop on and off’ services along the Noosa River, there are seven stops between Tewantin and Hastings Street. Popular for tourists and locals, the transport service provides a front-row seat to river wildlife and a peak at some impressive waterfront homes.
